Bogoda Wooden Bridge is one of the oldest surviving wooden bridges in Sri Lanka, located in the Badulla District. Built entirely from timber without using nails, it showcases traditional craftsmanship amidst a lush forest setting.
The bridge is about 19km from Badulla town and can be reached by car or tuk-tuk via the Bogoda village road.
Constructed over 400 years ago during the Kandyan period, Bogoda Bridge is still sturdy and in use today. It is a protected archaeological site and an excellent example of Sri Lankas ancient engineering skills.
