The Colombo National Museum, established in 1877 by Governor William Gregory, is Sri Lanka�s largest and oldest museum housed in a grand Italianate building. Open daily 9?am�5?pm (closed on public holidays), the museum�s entry fee is 1,200?LKR for foreigners (adult), 600?LKR for children, with combo tickets available that include the Natural History Museum next door.Highlights include the royal throne of King Wimaladharmasuriya?II and a 9th?century Bodhisattva sculpture .
